The band performs nightly on the Dizzy’s Club stage for the very first time showcasing music off of their bands latest release People and Places as well as newly unreleased material.

Alex will appear with various artists throughout the festival in Blaine, WA including those led Nicholas Biello, Charlie Porter, Randy Halberstadt, and others. He will also be conducting student ensembles for the Blaine Harbor Jazz Camp of which he’s a faculty member.

Alex will appear here with the Leland Baker Quartet which will play a house band set and then open the night up for musicians to sit in.. The night will begin with student groups from the Newport Festival Foundations education programs. Alex and Leland are co-directors of the Newport Jazz Lab which will be one of the featured student groups.
